Hey... well, I searched (and I forgot which post it was) but I found my W3J case.

Okay, I realize it has velcro... but I figure, it'll save me the hassle of having to zip something up! (Yes, I'm that lazy) Then it's also leather which... for $14, ain't bad at all! Looks durable and it's padded inside... seems like the perfect sleeve for me. (And while carrying it around it'll look nice, intead of some dinky neoprene that I'd have to hide in my backpack.)

Also, for security reasons.. if anyone was trying to jack it via opening it and taking it (don't underestimate how dumb thieves are...) you could hear them by the velcro! (hahahaha just wanted to throw that in)

Anyone else find anything they're going with? (As far as a 14" case)

well, yes velcro plus leather is good.

Alot of people are now into vertical load because it is alot easier for some.

I know for me Vertical Load will be the only option. I would put the sleave into my backpack and i would havta unzip the backpack slot, and then quickly unvelcro and then take out the laptop, and it would be vertical.

Also suspension has become interesting or something with alot of padding at the bottum.

Here's one alot of people been raving for.

Another one which I like but the price
    http://www.case-pc.com/products.html

I think CompUSA was selling CasePC at half price about 1-2 months ago, but now they took em off the site. =\

What you got is nice, and cheap and will work :D

    Thanks,

The case bends! the sides aren't hard and the laptop will NOT stand up, i suppose if it's kept inside a backpack it'll be ok, but as just a sleeve, it's not so good ><

Dangsy what are you reffering to lol, which case?

I personaly wouldn't carry a laptop in just a case unless i really had to, but i would buy one of those proper leather Targus bags that have shoulder straps, if i din't want to use a backpack.

But not sure how it is, i don't have a laptop yet .. lol

    Thanks,

    MysticGolem

you should take a look at the sumdex impact guard case. i just received the 14.1" version for my W3J today. It looks really nice. Here's a link to the product.

My bad, you're right... not leather... makes sense, eh.

MysticGolem, good point there with the vertical load. Definitely going to get one now that you mention it, I'm going to be in college with a backpack so that vertical load will definitely help me be a little more lazier. (which is good).

Can't wait to get the actual thing that goes IN the case though!!

I can speak for the Victorinox bags. They aren't cheap, or hard shelled, but they're comfortable and built to last.

Yah Dangsy, when i first saw the Victorinox i thot it would flex around making it un-carryable. But i believe the features are nice.

If people do put them in a backpack or another laptop bag like targus it would be ok.

If you think people should avoid it because it flexes too much, then definately, we should all avoid and look to another vertical load sleeve, like CasePC which i linked below it.

Have you heared anything on that? THey look quite decent to me.

    Thanks,

    MysticGolem

Victorinox makes more than just sleeves, they make a whole range of computer bags which aren't cheap but are the best quality I've seen.

    http://www.swissarmy.com/travelgear/SubCategory.htm?category=businessgearlaptopready&

I have an old SW Digital Pack and a new SW Wide Messenger and my main problem is that I put in too much stuff and they get HEAVY. On further reflection I should have gone with a SW Vertical Messenger or even the Eiffel to keep my bloat down. You can often find them on sale.

I also ordered the Sumdex sleeve for like $14, should be here Friday. To me, it looks like one of the better fitting sleeves, althought the thickness of it is a little shy of the W3J but it should stretch fine.

The sleeve is 1.5" thick and the W3J is 1.28" thick dont see how its going to have to stretch anything.
