So, I got my A1 about a week or two ago, and I had to restore it due to a problem of mine. I was trying to transfer some of my files over wifi, from my main desktop to my N10. It said it would take 4 hours so I left it on overnight. When I checked in the morning, the laptop's internet wasn't working so I restored the laptop to it's original state. I had to restart the computer multiple times to get the drivers installed. Only one driver would install then I finally got the rest to install after about 5 restarts. Now that anytime I have a window open, close to the left side of the screen. I get these grey or white scan lines which flicker consistently, but when I move the window away, they disappear. It's only when it's really close to the left edge. They don't appear on start up, nor were they there when I was gaming on The Witcher (bad game to play on the Asus N10 on stock btw). I've switched between the graphics cards and it's the same thing. I haven't tried an external display yet because I don't have any extra cords to connect them. I heard the video card/screen connector could be loose.

The grey lines only appear when I have a window or the smart menu open. If it's on the desktop, there's no problem.

    My questions are:

    1) What would anyone consider as the main problem?

    2) If it's a hardware issue, like the screen; do I have to send every piece of item that came with the N10 back to Asus for the warranty? As in, the N10 came with a lot of stuff.

Thank you for taking your time to read the post.

P.S. I also posted this on N10user.com and no answer yet. :(

You can try install different drivers from laptopvideo2go and see if that would solve the flickering issue.
If it is a hardware issue, you don't have to send every accessory that came with the laptop, just the unit itself is fine :)
