    Hi all,

Has anyone bought your Asus laptops through the group buy program lately that was posted here a while ago?

I was able to get my hand on one A8Js, just shipped yesterday :D really good deal. Has anyone tried the free Asus router that came with it? How's the performance, etc?

    Thanks.

The routers were literally shipped yesterday; They came about four days later than the first Asus notebook shipments. Someone many go pick it up in person at MilestonePC, though.

The reviews I've seen really laud over the router, though. Doesn't seem like a crappy gift by any means. I still, however, have absolutely no use for it. So I will likely sell it for $60 on ebay ...

In Canada we haven't shipped the routers yet, will start mid next week. In USA, notebooks shipped out yesterday had routers shipped together, we will provide routers seperately for notebooks shipped out this Monday, because the routers were not shipped at that day.

BTW, we will start shipping W3J today or tomorrow in USA and mid next week in Canada, they will all have routers shipped together.

The only change is the T5500, right?

Maybe you meant changed from T5600 to T5500, but Asus said it is not a change, the original T5600 was a typo ;)

As a group buy purchaser, do you know when the next shipment of A8Js machines are going out? I sent you a PM but haven't heard back.

    Thanks,

We have a guaranteed special order coming from Taiwan for our group buy program in about two weeks, it has a good qty of A8Js included(close to 100 units), our allocation will come directly from Asus, not from distributors, but if any shipment coming in before that, we will also have it.

Our group buy program notebook allocation are pretty well guaranteed by Asus, for example we start shipping W3J from yesterday, that was about faster than distributors get their stock. you should be very safe to have your order fulfilled through our program
