I was wondering if anyone has some FPS comparisons between a T5550 and T9300 CPU upgrade in this laptop? It has a GF9500GS 512MB GPU. Any games, any apps....

    Thanks

You could check the main reviews dir, and find a laptop with a T5550 and one with a T9300; then, compare their SuperPI results. That will give you a rough idea about the difference.

Depending on the game, though, the CPU may not make any significant difference, as for most games the performance bottleneck lies in the GPU.

The T9300 is markedly faster than the T5550. I saw a dramatic improvement in gaming and internet speed. This was on a Gateway P6860 FX. Vista 64 bit, 4 GB ram, GeForceĀ® 8800M GTS. Much better CPU.

The T9300, which I am trying to save money to buy for my Gateway, is still $329 on NewEgg... :(
