Do I contact asus or just go ahead and ship it to seagate?

OK im on the phone with customer service and they are gonna send me a RMA thing. Now he said I may have to ship the whole laptop out to them. Anyone know the turn around on something like this?

Might be cheaper to buy a new hdd but for sure faster.
And safer if you want to keep your data from the hdd private.

Time is money, hope they repair/exchange hdd fast enough, and they truly pays the 2 way shipping too.

Yeah I thought that was pretty awesome when I saw he/she posted. I did reply and I did send the package out yesterday. FedEx says it will be there Monday. I live in Michigan and its going to Indiana.

I've had an Asus laptop sent in 3 times, and turnaround has always been around 6 days. That includes weekends.
