    Can you see the HDD in Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management?

    Might not have a drive letter assigned to it, that's my first thought.

    As you can see on the picture, I see it.

    I think that letter is not assigned as @Support.3@XOTIC PC said. What should I do?

    I have figured it out by giving name to the disk. Then I removed it again so that I don't hear hdd noise since I won't use it. at least for now :)

    Thanks for the help.

    @Support.3@XOTIC PC @John Ratsey

    If I remove the letter, do I deactive the HDD? I don't use it to be honest and I can remove it. However, is it possible to disable it at all so that I don't hear the mechanic disc noise? I read on the internet that I can make it offline but I don't see the option. (You can check the pictures) Disabling device at properties - driver will make the trick? I also would like to active it whenever I want.

    Several places to look for settings which might encourage the HDD to go to sleep:
    1. Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Advanced Power Options and look for Hard Disk. Set it turn off after a minute on both mains and battery.
    2. Control Panel > Indexing Options (make sure that the HDD is not selected for indexing as that will keep waking it up)
    3. Control Panel > Device Manager Disk Drives > HDD > Properties (where you can disable it but to use it again you will have to ask Device Manager to look for new devices).

    Honestly I wouldn't mess with it, but if you're set on doing so, just setting it to turn off when idle like @John Ratsey said is going to be the best way.

    You must have super hearing if the periodic HDD read is bothering you. Replace it with an SSD or pull it altogether for weight reduction.
