I just got the g50vt-x5 from BB. Whenever I hook up the comp to my 24" monitor through the vga cable I get some blury lines across. So I hooked up the hdmi and the resolution is wrong even though everything says 1900x1200.

Also when I hook up my speakers to the audio out there is a random clicking sound. Anybody know how to fix these. Thanks.

Do the blurry lines/clicking still happen if you unplug the computer and leave it running on battery?

Audio over HDMI isn't automatically switched - you need to manually change the default output for your audio from your system speakers to your HDMI output.

    1. Go to Control Panel, Sound.
    2. Select Digital Output Device (HDMI or SPDIF), then click on the Set Default button.

Once you set the default output to the DOD, the HDMI should transmit audio, but make sure your monitor is set for HDMI audio out as well.

Don't forget to switch your audio back to your system speaker output if you disconnect your HDMI.

Yes the lines are still there even when its unplugged but they are more noticeable when the laptop is plugged in. The clicking sound happens from the audio out on the laptop at random still. The lines look kinda like when your watching a tv channel that isn't quiet coming in clear and you have those really faint lines that just annoy the outa you in the background but these are really faint. Just enough to let you know they are there especially when looking at something darker.
