I just wanted to know how can get my HDTV to display my screen through my HDMI in Windows XP!

I already know how to do it on Vista since it prompts you once it's connected but how do I do it on XP?! Do I need drivers for it that's why it's not recognizing it like Vista has?!

Note: I have a dual boot but haven't really installed all drivers for XP! Everything works fine so I need to know if there's a driver I missed and need to install for this to work!

    Your help is much appreciated!

Function + F8, i think is the way to do it, or is that only for VGA out?

I don't know, but the OP should try FnF8.

Yeah, the Fn + F8 combination doesn't work on my laptop either.

I'm wondering if it's related to using HDMI out instead of VGA?

The Fn + F8 is only for VGA out i think, for HDMI try setting up the other monitor through Nvidia Control Panel as stated above.

I've done that -- the external monitor support via HDMI is quite flakey, with a number of issues...

    1) External monitor doesn't come on until the NVidia driver loads up at the tail end of the boot; even with the lid closed.

    2) Doesn't play well with DVI KVM switch.

    3) Fn + F8; which one would expect to work does not.

Given the picture quality difference between HDMI and VGA I put up with it.
