Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew if the HDMI port on the G1S-A1 can be used as an input (i.e. can I connect my PS3)?

I am new to the high def field so I don't know enough about it. I just bought a PS3 but don't have the funds to buy a HDTV yet, and was wondering if I could use my G1S. The resolution wouldn't be 1080p, but it would be better than my 10 year old tv.

I checked the manual and this is what it says about the HDMI port:

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is an uncompressed all-digital audio/video interface between any audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, and A/V receiver and an audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital television (DTV). Supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel digital audio, with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements or requirements.

The language indicates it can, but I just wanted to be 100% sure before I rush out and buy an HDMI cable. Thanks!

No. It's an output. You need a tuner card for inputs.
