I bought this laptop 2 days ago and it already lags with saving excel files...

Is it just this laptop or is it a common thing?
Should I go in the store and ask for the technician to check out my laptop?

I'm not really good at computer stuff so your replies will be great help to me! thanks in advance!

It's most likely a software issue -- maybe your excel file was huge, or you had your virus scanner going on in the background or just too many apps or whatever...

I'd take a look at the ASUS bloatware and maybe uninstall a few unneeded apps, http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/380681-asus-utility-bloatware-guide.html

It could also be your power setting profiles -- e.g. if you're on battery save mode, your cpu might be clocked lower, and if its not set "on demand" it might be your processes at the lowest clock rating.
