    HELP! need info about BATTERY

    HELLO folks, recently i bought a asus s96s from xoticPC and i was advertised as 6cell batter. I downloaded battery eater and it says cell count 3. is this is a mistake? what is going on?

    What the part/model number of the battery?

    Does it say the same thing when its charging and when its fully charged?

    And you should give Justin and/or his crew a call.

    Well, lithium cells generally produe 3.7 to 4.2 volts each. That's an 11.1v battery, which you would get by wiring three lithium batteries in a series. However, for extra capacity, the battery uses a 3s2p setup. Meaning there are two series of three lithium batteries wired in parallel, for double capacity. It is possible that your software did not pick this up.

    Regardless, your capacity, as measured by the program, is well within spec, and you have nothing to worry about. Even if you only had three cells in there(which would be theoretically impossible) it wouldn't make any different for battery life.
