    Im buy the new laptop g51vx, and support 1 minute in game, the problem is a grafic card. ¿update or fix for gtx 260?. problem only with a games. im very sad, please help.

    The problem is that when I run any game, the notebook looks bad and hangs, it takes 1 or 2 minutes to do so.

    The notebook this factory, the only modification is a RAID 0 320 x 2 HD

    hm. what driver version are you running? Download GPU-Z from here: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

    if running something below 186.42 update to these drivers below, by following the instructions here:

    Delete your current drivers

    Install Dox Drivers
    -Run the Dox 185.85 installation program and follow the prompts. There should be no problems.
    -Reboot into regular mode

    Sounds like you got a lemon. I'd register the laptop on the asus website and see what kind of support you'll get. the warranty should transfer over, as mine did when I bought it used. I don't know if it extends to your country though (wherever you are)

    For me 186.81 had the 2d downcloak issue, that its not present on 186.82, but this might be trivial as its just 2d, shoudlnt affect 3d gaming. But either way you might aswell try them out, with the same procedure Element described.

    Parece que te ha tocado una laptop con la GPU defectuosa. Trata de hablar con Asus en tu país y te deberían cambiar tu laptop por una nueva, ya que técnicamente te llegó como DOA (Dead On Arrival).

    Siempre y cuando haya un centro autorizado de Asus en el país que vivas, tendrás la garantía internacional. Probablemente te pedirán que envíes tu máquina a reparación y dentro de unos días quedará listo.

    ¿Qué clase de problemas muestra cuando juegas? ¿Salen artefactos y/o distorciones en pantalla?

    Si efectivamente me salen artefactos y/o distorciones en pantalla y a los 3 segundos se cuelga todo. pero ya lo tengo claro voy a reinstalar con windows 7 y si no funciona, mañana lunes llamo a asus, a ver que me dicen. factura no tengo. tengo ticket de compra de BEST BUY.

    It seems that laptop with the defective GPU has touched one to you. It tries to speak with Asus in your country and they would have to change your laptop to you by a new one, since technically it arrived to you like DOA (Dead On Arrival). As long as there is an authorized center of Asus in the country that cheers, you will have the international guarantee. To probably they will ask you that you send your machine to repair and within days it will be ready. What class of problems shows when you play? They leave devices and/or you distort in screen?

    Geez, my spanish isn't very good but I still think I can read it better than that babelfish translation, lol.

    I'm thinking bad GPU also. I would have said the fan failed but the temps aren't that bad. Maybe video ram is overheating? Does GUP-Z show the temp of video ram?

    asus service facility is a very well behaved, I grabbed the notebook and in 4 days, repaired, was a graphic card problem, I changed it now passes all tests without problems, thanks to all. a sharp salute.
