    HELP PLEASE!!! "could not complete installion"

    when i did the whole recovery disk thing and i put in the drivers disk when i was supposed to, cuz i wannted to fortmat the HDD for one partition, and after like 15 mins after it did its first reboot says "cant complete installing windows. restart and reinstall" something like tht. wut can i do??? im freaking out!!!!!

    No need to freak out. Just try it again, this won't ruin your system in anyway. The disc that your installing from might be dirty, so take it out and double check if the CD/DVD is clean and try the installation again.

    Had that happen when i first restored my HP ze4281. And I had exactly the same reaction (plus a fair bit of swearing). Turned out it was just dirt on the CD. In the words of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: Dont Panic! Lol

    Yeah don't freak out, it happens every so often, just clean the disk and retry.

    If it keeps messing up though, you mght have a probem with either HDD (do a clean, full format, not a quick one) or with the recovery CD (just as someone you know to lend you it's windows disk)

    Could you elaborate a little more as to which screen and which part of the procedure you are at?

    I suggest a safer solution: press F9 at bootup. This will do a recovery from the HDD. No need to care about dirty DVDs.
