    i have asus X54H my touchpad stopped working when i put power4gear in battery saving mode i try to use windows power plans and the problem still happened when i chose power saver what to do

    I don't really understand but it seems that the problem happens only when you are on power saving mode, so avoid power saving or set custom parameters to the normal windows mode, testing which parameter disable the touchpad.

    Really odd problem though...

    You should also consider removing that power4gear thing from you PC, windows features by default a nice power management system.

    thanks for reply i`ll remove power4gear ....I also find this odd when i put high performance the touchpad work fine but in battery saving stop response

    It sounds like that software is shutting down the touchpad (which is a peripheral), strange...

    This happens only when using Power4Gear to set the power plan? What if you have it removed and use the battery saving power plan in Windows?

    i removed power4gear but still the touchpad stop when i put battery saving power plan in Windows (work fine in balanced and high performance mode i really confused)

    So, that's windows which shut this peripheral down, you should go in "change plan's settings" on the windows power management window:

    and experiment to see what parameter shut the trackpad down, you could see what are the differences between balanced and power saving, there has to be an explanation like shut peripherals down or something...
