What is the version of the drivers? What is your controller/board graphic card? I have in my 9800pro and ati mobility radeon x600 ati omega drivers v2.6.71 and i'v never have problems with them. I depared with a problem like yours but with nvidia drivers... in my old FX5200... but with the nvidia drivers course
. To resolve your problem u unistall the omega drivers, reboot, and then install ati official drivers (catalysm) reboot again and test it. The problem continuous? Reboot, enter in safe mode, (f8 during windows booting) and when the windows is loaded, start, control panel, system, and look for device manager and try to uninstall manually the drivers of your board/controler. reboot and install catalysm.
Your problem is the drivers i think i can give u that fact.
Any doubt, ask again. -
uninstall the drivers and reinstall them, but go download Driver Cleaner Pro at driverheaven.net or guru3d.com and follow the instructions to use that program.
Sounds like a bad driver installation.
Once you have uninstalled the drivers correctly and gotten rid of all video drivers on your harddrive when the auto detect comes up it shouldn't install unwanted drivers automatically. When that thing comes up just hit cancel and execute the setup.exe for the Omega drivers.
Once again I can't stress this enough, make sure you have uninstalled the previous drivers properly. 1)Add/Remove Programs, uninstall ati display driver, 2)run the Driver Cleaner Pro, 3)restart, 4)cancel any auto driver installation attemps by windows, 5)execute the setup.exe for the desired drivers
Hope that helps, Cheers,
Mike
