I really love my new G1S but today I've gotten the BSOD three times :( The error given is:

    Stop 0X0000008E

    RtkHDAud.sys

    Address B3C0FBCE Base at B3C7000

This is in XP. And I have been getting a few messages saying, "Windows System files have been replaced with unrecognized versions, please insert your Windows XP SP2 CD so Windows can repair this problem. It has popped up randomly, but seems to be popping up everytime I install the drivers for the Realtek HD Audio drivers. (I think this is related because of the RtkHDAud.sys error) What I'm thinking is that the unrecognized files have something to do with the Audio drivers and when replaces by the windows "recognized" files the audio driver does not work properly? I seriously hope it's not a hardware problem.

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Most definitely not a hardware problem. I don't know how to fix that, but definitely the driver is the one causing problem, and it is all software.

Well, thanks for the reassurance. I'm downloading the newest drivers from the realtek website and reinstalling so hopefully that fixes it.

If you report back your result it would help other users here, especially if you're successful in fixing the problem.

I think it's fixed, I just unintsalled the drivers and then went to the realtek site and got the newest ones and it hasn't happened since.
