I seem to have an ant problem in my apartment and I saw one on my keyboard, but the little bugger got away under the keys~!
Is this a big problem? Can these little buggers short out my lappy????!!!!!?
I hope not T_T
Cheers,
Mike

LOL... it'll probably crawl out by itself...unless you have food stuck under there.
If it really bothers you, you can remove the keyboard and look for it...although i wouldn't bother. -
Waaaaaaaaaah...really?!?!?!? Okay good, I was freaking out for a minute, hohoho~
Thanks dude~! Jeez you offer me great advice AND a signature template...kekeke
Cheers,

Some years back, when I was working in the Philippines, I once saw a very small ant walk across the TFT display of my notebook computer, on the inside! Fortunately, it disappeared out of view. Ants on the keyboard was common.

i have tried to take out the keys before, just be gentle to take it out with fingers, not a tough job.

... take the keyboard out completely and get some compressed air and blow it parallel to the keyboard between the keys and the backing plate..... that'll help.
-
Play some .wav file of an ant eater on youre laptop and he wil run away.
-
Get a glass of water and flush it out quickly before it get to the electronics inside. LOL I'm J/K. Although it'll be a decent durability test for your Asus.
-
Too bad Asus notebooks dont' have a keyboard drain...

I'm sure the ant is either gone or a gonner by now but if for some strange reason this was to happen again, buy yourself some Terro Any Killer. Its a little plastic tray that you cut a small slit in and the ants run to it. If you were to place one up against you machine, I'm sure the ant would run to the bait within 10-15 minutes. I'd just be carefull not to leave it there to long that a bunch of his friends pick up the sent and make a party out of it!

The other day i saw a 1 year old compaq. When i opened to find out what's wrong with i find a roach waffle falls out. Ok so i think to my self "perhaps they all found the ram to be warm in the winter". These roaches fell out of every single crack in the laptop when i took it apart. It was like a mass grave of roaches. I handed it back to the customer and asked her to cremate it. She didn't understand till i showed her the round roach table caramelized to her ram.

You can actually wash these keyboards as long as you dry them completely before turning them on.

Geared2play.com...Eddie....that has got to be one of the most disturbing stories I HAVE EVER HEARD~!!!! and just in time for Halloween hahaha
It's like a scene from Saw 2 or something lol
that lady must be a freakin' slob for that to happen, but yeah I think some bugs are attracted to the heat, since it's getting colder now....darn gotta cut my nails...they're getting caught on the edges of the keys on the keyboard. hehehe
Justin.....thanks I'm gonna try that...just bugs me that there might be an ant corpse just laying around the insides of my new lappy....that poor bastard, if he's dead, has such a nice coffin~
Cheers,
Mike thanks for the suggestions and jokes guys har har har~ -

.. it's an ant...... I'd prefer people clean their keyboard before they send them in for service........ you'd be surprised that the people who can't take care of their computers are the ones who have the most problems! The biggest nasty thing to find when you take a keyboard off is HAIR..... and just crumbs... ewe...

Roach ram
I don't know about you guys, but at school, those computers are so nasty, especially the public ones 'everyone' uses, in the small classrooms..
The library/Comp lab is fine, but for those, you move the keyboard around or rather, flip it upside down..
Hey! It's snowing dandruff! -
