I didn't see any problems when I was playing, although mine kept having BSOD, which lead me to discover that I had the incorrect m/b (was an M6N with 9600) should have the notebook back tomorrow with the 9700, will test out how HL2 performs.
On a side note, while the omega's did run fine on mine, I ran into major troubles when I have tried to uninstall/upgrade the drivers. It maybe a just a fluke, but twice now my notebook has become unstable to the point of needing repairs, 1st time it refused to play 3d games, had to take it back to store and the m/b was replaced, then I tried upgrading the drivers and the BSOD came, which lead to me discovering the wrong m/b issue!
Even though logic says that software shouldn't do this, esp after a clean instal of XP, all should be forgotten, I'm no-longer going to take my chances with omega drivers or modded ATI ones. Just gonna stick with the offical ASUS releases. On that note, I was getting much better 3dmark01 scores with the latest ASUS drivers compared to lastest omega's (~9450 vs ~9150).
That alone is enough of a reason for me to stay with the ASUS ones.
Good luck, and I hope you don't have the same problems that I have had with your M6Ne.

The Omeaga Drivers were designed for the desktop power cards, not the laptop ones ;)

I agree, many notebook users have/love the omega drivers, and they should be fine for your lappie. However I personally will never use them again, just to be on the safe side, and the lastest ASUS drivers are working well and giving great game performance at the moment. eg I got over 10,300 on defult 3Dmark01 with these drivers, something I didn't manage with the omegas.
