Hey guys, have a new asus laptop =) K52J. Bit of a problem though, it seems like whenever I'm doing something hard drive intensive, like utorrent + 720p + firefox, the hard drive decides to freeze for about a minute. Everything stops and I can't do anything, then it'll just snap out of it and start working again. Any ideas? Thanks

its probably firefox. Clear your temp files often or stay in private browsing.

defragging helps, cleaning your registry helps, Use something like advance system care (I find it pretty good). But you have to find a good registry cleaner. I use nortons.

Might be your hard drive - if it's slow, all that disk activity might cause it to have a seizure.

maybe if it were on fat32 maybe which it shouldn't be. Other then that its either a program or maybe u dropped the thing or something or it was screwed up before you even bought it.
