The first thing you might want to find out is how much space is really on your laptop..

    1.) Open the start menu
2.) Search for and open "Disk Management"

The utility should load within a few seconds and display all the storage devices you have connected to your laptop. Go and tell us what capacity is listed for Volume C:. You should see 298.02GB (the usable space in a 320GB hard drive). If not, your laptop does not have a 320GB hard drive.
If it does, and only 118GB is available, it is possible (although unlikely) that the hard drive was split into excessively large and multiple partitions by the manufacturer, to reserve space for Windows and recoveries.

Oh and by the way, that external hard drive is supposed to have a terabyte not like 150 gigabytes

if you look at your image you have Disk 0 only. and that is your internal hard drive showing up as being partitioned into drive C ( 118.89GB ) and an extended partition with a label of " External Hard Drive " and I assume showing as drive D: @ 157.85GB plus your recovery partition and misc wasted unallocarted areas ( 300 + 600 + 350 MB = 1.2GB ) for a total of BOUT 278GB which is correct

to fix this delete that external drive block and create a simple volume as Drive D and put data into there. or you can use utilities to combine your drive C and that block.

your external 1T drive is not showing up in your first list at all, as in your Disk list it would register as Disk 1 or 2 ... etc.
