This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Does upgrading the harddrive on an Asus notebook void it's warranty? I plan on upgrading my W2jb's HDD to a Seagate Momentus 7200.1k RMP HDD.

    Speak to your reseller, some warrant it, others dont.

    search the forums, there are a few nice informative threads about this very topic...

    Just keep your original one and put it back in if you ever need to send it to get fixed for some reason....
