This is the fix for the jack stuck

And, before I discovered how to fix the jack, I broke a piece of the jack that seems to be the one that detects the optical cable input, and here's how i fixed it.

There you go, it takes some time to do the welding but it worked perfectly for me, now everything works almost perfect (since it disables the jack detection, the speakers doesn't deactivate when you plug headphones) but if you read this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=375227 you'll find a program that can help you with this.

Hope this work for everyone. If you have any doubts on how to dissasembly your laptop, in this forum you'll find tutorials for almost everything, just google it.

Hello. I have been searching these forums for almost an hour and this is the only thread i found with the problem i am facing.

I have Asus G60vx-Rbbx05...Everything was working fine till yesterday and then i used my headphones for skype. Since then i can not hear any sound from my speakers. Heaphone sound is working fine. i have alreayd tried removing & installing new drivers and checked all the sound options.

I think that the audio jack stick is stuck in headphone mode...more on this issue here...

I am in pakistan now and i think that Bestbuy warranty will not cover it here.

P.S: I can not figure out what the guy in the picture did exactly!!
