Now that W7 is out I'm assuming that they replaced it with something else, or that they're going to. Does anyone know anything about this?

iirc, the closest to the G51VX-RX05 is the G60VX-RX05 at the same price. Slightly better processor, Win7 and different lid, and 16" screen

can still get the refurb G51VX-RX05 at buy.com for USD $800 which is $200 cheaper than the replacement

The G51VX will slowly be phased out and the G51J will be taking it's place.
This is the 15/16" Gaming series model listing released in the US and Canada, oldest first.

    G1
    G1S
    G1SN
    G50V
    G50VT
    G51VX/G60VX
    G51J

I may have missed a model or two, but those are the major models released for the 15/16" Gaming series notebooks.

We are looking into selling more of the open box and refurbished units to reputable online resellers, so availability of those models may linger for awhile.

    Thanks for the info.

Any idea when ASUS will be shipping more G51J's to newegg?
