Though this may be a little off topic, I am wondering if anyone has ever purchase a Asus laptop from ebay. I am considering to get the Asus G50V-A1. It's not a bad price for $1350. So was wondering what did you guys receive. Any cosmetic marks, hardware failure, missing items? Thanks in advance!

It really depends on the seller. I personally wouldn't buy an Asus laptop from ebay unless it's from an Asus reseller.

We used to sell alot of their refurbs. their stock is low now. We got rid of all the g50v-a1 refurbs we had. the price @ 1300$ was not good. it should be about 1100 to be fair

I didn't know BTO sold refurbs. I could have saved myself some money and got a better processor in the process.

Out of all things a refurb laptop would be one of the things I'd be hesitant about.

we were the first to sell asus refurbs and open boxes. the rest followed. we stoped as most of their good inventory sold out. they had alot of problems. 15% of them were either missing parts or needed repair however we had zero returns out of hundreds of units shipped. we stopped back in september.
