I have a X25-M G2 coming and am wondering if anyone has had any issues installing Windows Vista/7 onto their SSD with the Asus provided recovery DVD(which is not exactly a Windows 7/Vista installation DVD)
I'm concerned about alignment (I know Windows 7 does this automatically, but not sure if the Asus disk knows to do this properly) particularly.

Hey,
I have the Corsair extreme SSD, I used original Restore CD's from Asus, ran into no problems!, it should work just the same for you... -

It is more of an issue with Intel Drives as that is theoretically bricking the drives with the TRIM firmware update. -
hey,
sorry for the late reply, hopefully this is the right info, this is from msinfo. Partition Starting Offset 1,048,576 bytes -

That's correct.
I just installed Windows 7 onto a X-25M G2 with the recovery disk.
It kind of freaked me out when it stopped installing asking for a Driver Disk (but refused to read the Asus drivers disk). I had to cut the power and restart, which continued Windows 7 setup onto desktop (with NO drivers installed).
From there, the Asus Driver disk took care of the rest, and everything seems to be fine. WEI is up to 6.7 (lowest being CPU).
Has anyone had problems with an Intel/other SSD and the Asus recovery Disk?
