    As far as I can tell the K - series are entry-level ASUS notebooks. I don't know this particular model (haven't been following ASUS models recently), and I don't see any reviews on the Info Booth...

    I think it's called K42jr in other countries... Heard of that already??

    As EBE noted, the K42 series (as a matter of fact, all K series) are entry-level/budget laptops. It's among the ranks of Dell Inspirons and HP Pavilion laptops.
