I believe C9Tech and Geared2Play carry them at the time being. Not sure about Justin, though...

The bluetooth models have not come in...... anyone who has them at this point would be adding the bt modules and although that's not a big deal - we'd never carry those models but anyone who would want to claim they are the bt models would be flat out lying. Remember, a "/B" would be on the box if bluetooth was in the unit from the factory.

.. again, not like it's a big deal, but it is to a lot of people and we mainly don't do it becuase the chassis' are not meant to come back apart after they've been snapped together and as careful as we are, we won't like having to swap damaged chassis parts for no reason. Factory BT models are still a week away at least.

I agree, it's not a big deal. They're still "Z70VA's with internal BT", we only still keep them up because people want the BT installed. They're still popular and requested by many- I'm sure Eddie & Sasha would say the same thing. As soon as the BT models come in, we wont have to perform the task of installing in in ourselves.

I only want to stress the point because there is a reason we're not selling them....... and because some have expressed some discomfort with not knowing if it came from the factory that way...... I certainly am not trying to pull sales away from anyone, because the Z70 is already on it's last legs and the only thing that will continue to sell it is the utter blahness (and I think I just created a word).... of the new napa model (Z92Ja) which should be available a month from today.

Doubt the napa models are a month away. The new cpu;s are nowhere near horizon as i am told by my intel account rep. You are looking atleast another 2-3 months from what i am told until any hi end models with yonah are in production. who knows maybee i am wrong. z70va with bt is available from those dealers who chose to integrate it. You might as well post the roadmap for everyone here to read. You practically summed up all of it in your reecent posts. If you dont someone will....Like me. That roadmap is as informative as asus sales is on a saturday. Big surprise. If you are not trying to screw up sales for anyone your not doing a fine job of it. You are single handedly responsible for not a few thousand people sitting and waiting for new stuff. Cant blame you though if you hadnt been talking about the porverbial roadmap someone would be. I dont really care your scrwing your own sales as well.... I know your reply already and what you will say. Leave this as the last reply and see whats out a month from now. Then you can dip your whiteglove in baby powder and slap me.

It's not about workmanship Eddie and you know that... There are certain things, no matter how many times you do them that you still leave up to chance and that is the disassembly of these chassis'. I really don't care and it's not an issue with us...... I'd simply prefer not to offer these because like you said..... for $30 you can do it..... that's the cost of the part and the labor involved doesn't justify a no cost install, especially when you're looking at another week for pre-installed bt units.

But back to the napa models... I'm single handedly making 1,000's of people sit on their hands..... my ass (pardon the pun).... We've all been through the BS "what's ahead" game and it's just that, BS. The roadmap looks very real when you're within 30 days...... since none of the ensemble models are within 45 days, I'd completely mark those off......... At this point the 14" Z62f looks like it's on target, but who cares? At the same time, the Z92Ja - it's subpar and if you haven't looked at the specs, you should because you've got what I'm saying TOTALLY wrong.

There is a reason that the Z70va and Z71v are going to sell in the current package till the end of March...... the "replacements" on the custom side are weak........ great graphics... I mean GREAT --- 265mb ATI x1600..... but the chassis are the same as the A6u if you're familiar and the screen as of right now is slated to be only a WXGA.

My feeling is that everyone is already "waiting" and sales of Z70va's right this second would be weak because people know there's something new out there on the way and they don't know what it is........ if they did, they probably wouldn't wait anymore and sales of the current units would pick up. I'm waiting for people to realize that because there will be a new rush for these current models, one which would be more like the European mindset..... If there was a new Z70 refresh coming within the month there wouldn't be a soul buying the current model now.... but there isn't going to be one..........

.... So the moral of the story is, go out and get a Z70va now if that's what you want. Plenty of places have chosen to bring in Thursday's shipment of Non-BT Z70va's and they can choose to offer an install of BT if they so desired and there's nothing wrong with that unless someone has a problem with it.... if they do, no one wants them being a pain in the rear later, so it should be brought to their attention. On my side, we do have to explain why we're not bringing it back in the lineup as of yet and that just so happens to be the big reason why we're not. Now, if this was all that was coming back in - we'd be doing the custom install as well since there just isn't another option. but with the BT models another week away, we're not going to put our stock into the non-bt models and to have to integrate a handful of bt modules is one thing......... it triples the build time on the system and it's not realistic on a larger scale and you know that. I know that at this time of year it's current sales are obviously going to be down and it's not as much of a problem, but it's a always a tight rope and you've got to take it all in stride...

Maybe this will make you happy...........

Right now, if you want a Z70va, Eddie at Geared2Play will take care of you. :)

Like i said. if it wasnt you it prolly be me no need to defend your self I am not a boxer....
Unless we got different napa spreadsheets i am pretty sure we both saw the same specs. Although i just glanced i think they got something going with their ensembles right now. Which is not so great news for me but who knows maybee we will have to start customizing them if whitebooks are not up to par.

Like I said..... I see movement with the roadmaps and over the last six months there has been plenty of changes as we approach the release dates...... but for now, things within a month or so are pretty set..... you know... design and specs aren't going to change at this point, only ETA's and those are safe enough...... I told you for months to get a hold of one so you could see what I was saying... hopefully you've got something similiar to what I have.... but the real point of this without getting off topic is the Z70va is going to sell in it's current state a couple months into the napa releases and even once the "replacement" comes out... I think it's still going to be a big seller for the reasons stated prior.

Since we're partly discussing how the sales of Z92Ja will (or will not) affect the sales z70va refresh models, can anyone tell me if the price for z70va might drop by lets say...March to start of summer?..i'm planning to get a z70va at the start of my 3rd quarter but the prices on ebay right now are also fair. Its just that i want a brand new one to call my own. Sorry if this question is redundant.

EOL (end of line/life) for the Z70va is basically the end of March....... if it's still selling well, the price won't drop and the only thing that can change would be the cpu / hard drive / ram cost..... If you're looking to put it off to save money - don't waste your time........ but if you don't need one till then, don't ask a question like that now... just wait till you're ready. The worst thing that could happen is the system is sold out everywhere and never to come back in stock........ so you'll have to get a new model. That's bad, but it's not the end of the world.

... you know what? Why don't be play this by ear? "The Register", "The Inquirer", "Slashdot" and places like that are good places for information of "things down the road"........

.... people are going to buy or hold off no matter what anyone says.... Intel's notorious for hyping things and that means not only new chipsets and cpus........ but ETA's and Quantities..... all of their marketing is meant to get companies butts in gear by getting customers to call those companies and nag them about when they'll have this new stuff........ it's really a great marketing idea as Intel does a little bit and the consumer does the rest... Like with anything new, quantites are going to be super low at first, but enough to get things going...... then there will be a 3-4 period where they are virtually nonexistant again........ then they'll become "normal stock" everywhere... it happens time after time and doesn't appear to be any different this year.

Ah... I don't know about that..... My information hasn't been changed that much in the last six months..... but to get that we had to sign an NDA and it basically means now I can only spoon feed the forum so much info..... I guess that sucks for most people but it gives us a better idea of the direction of the company and what we can expect out of the new systems.
