So I wonder if the S-video connector is one of those things that never work.
I connected mine (Z96J) to the TV with a S-video cable (4 pins), but nothing happens. Rebooted, enabled the second monitor at 800x600 in windows and in catalyst, forced detection, and all that.
Have this actually work for anybody? What is the tip to make it work?
Thanks a lot.

I have with my W7J through the TV's composite ports using the S-Video to composite adapter that came with the W7J. Works fine. Didn't have to do anything in particular. The nVidia drivers detected the TV as a second monitor and the Wndows desktop appeared on the TV. Try running the dual monitors in clone mode first to see if you can see the desktop on both screens.

Thanks,
Anybody with a Z96J (That does not come with an adapter)? -
I tested my Z96J with an external TV through S-Vid Out with no problems, worked fine. TV and second monitor are not the same thing - Monitor is usually detected through CRT port. Catalyst should detect it through its Displays Manager tab. Make sure everything is plugged in properly, and try a different TV. I've had many many problems with this on my old laptop, but none with my Z96J and hopefully never will (knock, knock).

Yeah, it'll work.... it's just one of those things everybody always wanted in their laptop - and 1 out of 100 of those people ever actually use it.... Just enable a second monitor at the correct res (800x600) and as long as the tv is plugged in, the system should see that second monitor.

I used it on my old laptop, obviously not enough to need it on my new laptop, since I don't have it. I found with my old laptop that the easiest was to use the ATI button to turn on the TV, so it would setup all the options.
Have anybody actually used the S-video?
