    Hi there,

I received my UL30vt-A1 just a couple of days ago and so far I love everything about it except for the screen. It seems to require to be angled to a particular position for things to look right, and even the slightest change in angle or my seating position messes up the way everything looks, with things getting too bright and faded or too dark. There seems to be no position at which the brightness is even across the entire screen. I know this is a common issue with the UL30vt, but I'm wondering if the UL30A is any better in that regard? I'll gladly sacrifice gaming ability for a better screen.

    Thanks much, Nir

I really doubt the UL30A is any better. In fact they probably use the same screens. To get better screen quality you'd have to go Apple or Sony, especially if you want a 13" laptop.

It's good to have confirmation of this issue. It's a real shame since the UL30vt is a fantastic laptop in every other way... I would get a Vaio Y but I'm loathe to order directly from the Sony store what with their reputation.

Thank you so much for your help, Nir
