I downloaded the video card drivers from Nvidia's official site, and when i went to run the .exe i got a message saying "the setup could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your computer."

I tried another time and it told me i was not running vista 32-bit and it could not install.

    Any help?

What OS do you have? What is the card?

Sorry, thought G1s were pretty standard. Running Vista home premium 32bit
    and nVidia 8600m GT

This has not helped at all. Because i get the download from nVidia and are able to start the installer, but it's during the nVidia screen that it tells me that it cannot find any files to replace and will stop.

I'm not too tech savvy so there's a big chance i didn't do it right.

Download and install the latest GPU drivers from laptopvideo2go.com

All you need to do is download the latest version (like 169.21) for Vista or XP (32 or 64 bit) and also download the edited .inf file. then, follow the instructions on the site, IE after extracting the .zip file containing the drivers, copy and paste in the new .inf. However, do a clean install (meaning delete the old drivers, and then clean up the Registry using a program like Driver Cleaner) to make sure the new driver will work.

Driver Cleaner Pro? I don't know whether it's compatible.
