My Asus S5N seems to have a heat dissipation problem... It tends to run at around 75-80C, is that ok?? and i have actually sent it in for repairs quite a few times already because the touch pad together with the LEDs and speaker did not work all of a sudden. I think might be due to the heat problem. It's quite frustrating without a touch pad and the LEDs. Any ideas???

This seems to be quite high. My M2N is usually around 40-50C. I would definitely get it checked out, or try geting a new replacement.

Try remove the original thermal goo on the heatsink and use arctic silver or similar compound. It made a great different on my M3N, running around 42C idle. To monitor temperature, try MBM.
Update: I looked at my MBM log, with 3000 readings, I am getting average of 49C, max of 63C, and low of 39C.
