I don't know, but some dealers sell parts.

But I don't think putting AS5 is worth it voiding the warranty...

Even if you do manage to get a sticker I doubt they'll not void the warranty if you send it to Asus for repair.

Check the forums, there's been some discussion about Artic Silver and how some dealers here say that it's not worth it.

I know that artic silver won't reduce the temperature by much, but if i lap it and use artric silver it should go down decent amount.

Honestly how bad are your notebook temperatures? My laptop varies in the 50's, but even leaving it on has NEVER made it uncomfortable. Try using Centrino Hardware Control, it manages your system and changes it on the fly to your demand. That might help.

EDIT : I've had my w3v with an added 512DDr2 memory for over a week now.

Provided that in the current configuration there is no use of a heatpad then i think lapping and the AS5 is a great idea. But if there is indeed a thermal pad which is very common nowadays, then there is a chance that there will be a gap between the cpu and the heatsink. I wanna try it on mine so if you know then let me know. Btw i have done this on the majority of my pc's and i definitely think it is worth the effort. For me personally i wouldn't care about the warranty too much because i don't think a lapped heatsink really stands out that much and it is questionable whether the service technician will give it too much thought. But that is a risk that must be measured by the individual owner. Gluck and keep us posted.

I agree. You'd better use software like centrino hardware control to keep it down than the risk of voiding the warranty.. sorta less risk hobby, don't you think? :p
I heard it's no use or not much of a difference using as5 to notebook, especially for pack case notebook like w3v(14")

anyways, I tried measure "Hotness"of my w3v, it was 72 degree i believe before I set to dynamic switching, and it changed to 55 in like 4 minutes or so..
    hope this helps!
