I got my G1s yesterday and installed Vista ultimate (fresh install from personal disk)...I then installed drivers from the asus support cd ..I remember that the eye under the touchpad glowed before the fresh install so I am thinking I missed installing some driver/app from the Asus CD. Coincidently the side lights do light up while accessing an DX9/10 app so I am guessing that those are not related to this light..Any idea what needs to be installed to enable this light...it makes the laptop look really cool..pls help!!

I have a feeling it may be direct console, because thats what governs the side lights. Try that one first.
Side note, do your side lights blink all the time? Or just when using Dx10? -
I have installed Direct Console and it shows the option to enable/disable the side lights but not the green eye...Do I have an older version of direct console may be (V1.3)??
I do not see the green lights blink all the time but havent kept a track of the times when they actually do flash but its definitely not all the time.
Side lights glow when i use Firefox :O
Dont glow when I run Asus G1s screensaver
Glow when I run Windows Energy screensaver
Dont know how else to confirm if they glow only when Dx app is being run...dont want to install games yet -
Install synaptics pointing device and the ATK files (2 of them).
