I'm about to buy myself a new laptop and these last couple off days I was trying to find some interesting ones... so, at the end, here I am... trying to make up my mind...

    This one:

    ASUS N70SV-TY043C

    Or maybe this one:

    SONY VAIO VGN-FW41M/H

What would You guys suggest me?

N70 is a much better unit, though maybe a little less battery life. Plus it has a better warranty.

IMHO Sony Laptops are only good for 2 things. Doorstop or prop up that short leg on the dining room table to keep it from rocking!
    ASUS FTW

ASUS is the better brand when it comes to computers (number 1 in reliability and support), but in terms of specifications the Sony is better. They are both very close, but the Sony's ATi Radeon Mobility HD 4650 is more powerful compared to the Geforce GT 130M inside the ASUS. Also the Sony seems to have a 1080p resolution which is a big plus.

Yeah, the sony is nice. Their support is basically non existant, however. This coming from someone who's sold Sony Laptops as a living, and had to deal with their customer support... Ugh! I hate overseas support teams.
