    Okay this is really frustrating...

Everything was working great with my M6Ne - I originally had installed Power 4 Gear but since disabled it and switched to using SpeedSwitchXP. When using my laptop on AC power, if I were to unplug then the speed would dynamically switch to 600Mhz.

Now yesterday I had to reinstall Windows - I've restored everything to the way I had it, but for some reason the CPU won't dynamically switch speeds! If I'm plugged in, it refuses to run at anything other than 1700Mhz - regardless of what I specify in SpeedSwitch or Power 4 Gear. In order for it to switch to 600Mhz, I have to restart the computer!

The only thing I can thing of that I did differently this time around was that I haven't installed any Intel drivers - which I thought I did last time, but I can't find anything on the Intel site.

Any ideas??? I'm going nuts here!

Check in the BIOS to see if SpeedStep is on Automatic. I had to do that to my W3V.
