I've decided to go with F3Sv-A1, but there are so many ASUS resellers listed , I really don't know which one to place my order. Can anybody recommend one,or give some reseller reputation info, especially the capability of service. I'm in SC. Thanks.

For ASUS notebooks that aren't barebones, the warranty will be strictly from ASUS so where you buy it may not really be much of a concern. However, if you want to customize, buying from a trustworthy dealer is a good option as they are very helpful and can guide you to what to do if a problem arises.

I would go through newegg or amazon. Both have proven to be great resellers for me. :D Hope this helps!

As noted elsewhere here in warranty threads, adding RAM and/or new HDD does not void the Ensemble warranty. If you alter any other components, i.e. cpu, the Asus warranty is void.

Resellers who customize the system for you prior to shipment will have their own warranty, which varies by vendor, so you'll have to do some research there.

I was going through the same crisis about 2 months ago when I decided to pre-order the C90s after my voodoo n532 took a dive. I was honestly very skeptical of all of them at first but after spending about an hour on the phone with eddie from btotech I was the most certain of any purchase ever. Not because I was sure of the product even, but because I was absolutely convinced that I had found a company with a very knowledgable staff who seemed to 'know the game' when it comes to laptops and warranties and service. They seem to actually care about customer satisfaction too, and that's more than I can say for most places. Ken over at GenTech seems like a smart cookie too, but I was utterly sold on the warranty and service that BtoTech was willing to provide.

The great thing about small retailers is that top management is easily accessible - and they encourage you to contact them. Take advantage of that and either chat with them, e-mail, or call them. If you're close, you could even schedule a time to visit. Some of them will give you a lot of discounts just because you called them in person.

A lot of them post here regularly too. Gentech and BTOtech were mentioned above. I'll add Xoticpc and milestonepc to the list. A quick search here will reveal a lot of customer testimonials about service and warranty.

I really like Gentech personally. BTOTech is a good reseller, too. I have heard good things about the others, but don't know enough to properly endorse them.

True about smaller resellers. I've had a very good experience with ISTNC as well.

where are you from? Some Canadian resellers i would recommend are NCIX and milestonepc. I ordered that exact product from NCIX and they shipped it out right away, it was out of stock when i ordered it, but i got it within a week. I didnt really deal with them though, i just ordered online, but i can assure you i got my products :)

It would be better if you found one farther away, because then you don't have to pay sales tax.

Integrated System Technologies (ISTNC) is in Charlotte, North Carolina. They're probably the closest reseller to you. As I posted on the last page, I bought my Z71v from them, and they've been great. Their address and contact info can be found here: http://www.istnc.com/contact.htm
