    Hi,
I have a linksys router, but i had always used the lan cable to connect to my router. when i use my wireless lan card in my w3v, it will show that it is 'not connected' (in the picture, ssid: BOO), but in actual fact i can surf the web wirelessly. I'm using windows zero config software to connect to my router wirelessly.

All the other computers in my house dont have this problem when connected to the router wirelessly. How do i recitify this 'not connected' problem when in actual fact i can surf while in 'not connected' status?

Have you tried updating the firmware on your router?

i used to have that problem when i change wireless security from WPA to WEP. What i did was diable Windows Zero Config and enable the Intel wireless software. It gives you alot more options, make sure your settings match the router setting.

Yup my router is a linksys wrt54g with the latest firmware avaliable. 4.00.7 if im not wrong.

Ahh thats a very logicial answer to my problem. I shall enable Intel's software and stop using windows zero config utility and see how it goes.
