Hi everyone, could you help me out with my problem or give advise?

My laptop just went black and turned off in the middle of me playing a game. Since then it wouldn't even start. When I pres power button it powers up for 3 seconds and turns off. Screen remains black, and it sounds like nothing starts up (not HDD, not fan).

I tried waiting, replacing HDD, pressing CMOS reset button, starting on battery (and without). No luck :(

Note: It did happen before, exactly same thing. But laptop turned on normally after 10 minutes.

Any ideas or advise? Whole situation makes me very sad ;(

    try this:
    1) Unplug the power
    2) Remove the battery, and press the power button (yes, nothing is supposed to happen)
    3) Wait 10 seconds
    4) Replace the power (but not the battery), and try to turn on the computer again.

if step 4) does not work (post and tell me what happens)
    do this:
    5) unplug the power, but put in the battery
    6) try to turn on the computer again

If it still does not work, when the screen remains black
    1) does the CAPSLOCK key turn on/off the capslock indicator?
    2) try pressing and holding on to any key. do you get the tone indicating your keypress is detected after ~15 seconds?

    Thanks for answering!

I tried steps 12346, and 12356 with no result :( Laptop does same thing - on for 3 seconds, then turns off. Black screen.

CapLock is not responsive in 3 second while laptop is running. Light isn't coming on.

Pressing key for 15 seconds produces no sound :(

    Damit, is it totally hopeless?

Could be the sign of bad CPU, in notebooks, if the BIOS does not detect CPU or bad CPU it'll turn off by itself after 3 seconds.
