Ok. so the typical story. Had a party. someone spilled beer on the laptop. Keyboard is spastic. Im having trouble taking the back panel off. Ive got everything but seems like 1 thing in the middle near the heatsink is holding it together. I cannot find a screw anywhere near there to save my life. Is there something holding it together or am i missing something? I can take pictures if needed.

Hi and welcome to the forums
Have you checked out the G1S disassemble guide yet? -
Well actually i did yesterday but the link to the pictures didnt wanna seem to work. It looks like it is working now but my work has it blocked. I will check when i get home. Hopefully this will help me resolve the issue im having
. Thanks for that reminder tho. Also I know its to late now. But was asus replacing G1S MBs with new one and videos cards? I shoulda kept up my research on this
-
If your unit is still under warranty, then Asus will still replace your mobo and GPU.
-
But why would they replace it? was there some sort of recall or something like that? Ive had no problems with the G1S. until that party ha. Its been rather great to me
-
David, doesnt that require him to have signed up for the accidental damage warranty? If that wasnt done, then spills arent covered. If it was done, then you can rma it and it should be replaced. Also, you do need to actually sign up for it.
