I have been unable to shutdown my w3j for about a week. When i press the power button or click shutdown, all processes are closed including icons in the systray but windows stays still. I have tried to fix the problem by using WinXp Manager, it worked but only for once. After the restart same problem again. Any suggestions or anybody have a nice registy key to fix this? Thanks. :)

Yes - format. If you're having an issue like there were you want to mess with the registry - but don't know what you're doing, either do a system restore and see if that takes care of it or format. Something is up and like I said, if you know what you're doing, that's one thing.... but if it boggles your mind, you probably shouldn't be screwing with the registry.

I second that suggestion. I've been having loads of problems with my W3J recently .. slow shut downs/hibernation, poor performance, corrupt files .. I did a quick format, reinstalled windows, and now everything works fine :)

Make sure to install a good antivirus, that always helps.

    Cheers.

If you want an exact fix I think you could find the program that prevents the shut down by opening task manager and closing one program at a time then trying shut down again.

    Something is overriding shut down

on my computer for instance bit comet prevent shut down
