    Help With getting composite video from a G2SC

    Hi All

    Sorry if this has been asked before but I can not find any good information.
    I have myself a uk Asus G2SC which has the lower screen resolution, It also
    comes with the built in TV card.
    I have connected all the cables from the laptop to the tv but I just don't get any picture on the tv, I have tryed every thing I can think off but still no Picture on the tv.
    Any extra help on this please thanks :)

    I'm not sure that you can use a notebook tv card as a passthrough for over-air television signals (i.e. use the G2 card as the antenna, and display the picture in realtime on an external television), if I understand correctly what you're trying to do.

    TV cards are usually meant to either watch over-air tv programming on the notebook lcd, or so you can record the signal if proper software is present and then display the material later on the notebook or external monitor/television. The signal out connection for HDD or DVD content from notebook to tv would be either HDMI or S-video, depending on your television.

    If anyone has a solution to viewing over-air content in realtime via external monitor, I'm sure they'll chime in..... I didn't think it was possible.

    Thanks for the information, but what if I just want to view a DVD on the tv from my laptop can that be done, if so how? it has to be using composite as I only have an old TV in my bed room.

    You'd need to have a S-video to composite/RCA converter, if such a thing exists. I can't seem to find one in a quick online search, but ymmv.

    Oh Sorry I was thinking composite was RCA I have all the leads and it come's with a plug to plug in to the laptop but i just dont get any thing on screen
