Hey i have a asus g1s, but when playing CS 1.6! not even source i seem to get only 60 FPS my fps_max is set higher then that and it still only ranges to about 60 FPS, i thought it would be better on the asus g1s, because i know on my friends dell XPS he gets 100 FPS, and my card is just slightly worse. Is there anything i can do to get better FPS, i play on low resolution as well. whatever the lowest is.

Are you sure you have vsync turned off? Because if it's on, then it will cap at your refresh rate (60 Hz).

Upgrade to the latest beta driver from nvidia which you must get from laptop video 2 go because of their modded laptop infs. There is also a Microsoft Vista Hotfix that you need to get off nvidia's page after you install the new driver. I had the same problem. Also, limewire used a lot of cpu if u had it in the background.

btotech.com told me not to upgrade the video driver from that site, im not sure i just have the driver it came with, and i use windows vista ultimate 32bit. I guess i might upgrade the driver, does anyone else use laptopvideo2go drivers? and which one is safe and good to get?

and how do i turn vsync off?

Many use laptopvideo2go drivers and have stated that it is more stable and offers a little more performance.

V-Sync is in the options of the game, run the game, and go through your options. You can't miss it. Unfortunately, I don't play CS, so I can't tell you exactly where it is.

why do you want to process more frames than your display can show? :|

Theres no reason to be over 60

because i know the asus g1s is capable of having more FPS then 60 on cs 1.6 its kind of ridicilous, i wasted my money buying it in the first place, i just wanna use it at its ability.
