The F3J series are perfect for me, except one thing, they don't have wsxga. I feel I have looked at every 15.4 model that comes with 945 chipset but can't find one with wsxga. People are saying the f3 series are asus's low end models, but everything seems top of the line to me except the screen.
Can anyone help me find a machine that has the same specs as the F3J series but comes with a wsxga screen?
Thank you hugely

The Z96J will have nearly identical specs and you can config it to suit too.. and WSXGA+

almost exactly the same machine except it has the x1600 instead of 7600, and wsxga.
Seems like what you want -

No one here really talks about Asus' models in the realm of high and low end except for me.... so I'd like to explain what I mean by that. I've been importing these systems for many, many years now and we decided a long time ago that until we found a company that made the same or better products, we'd continue to sell only the best... and that's Asus.
However, if Asus is your world, and you have experience with those products, you begin to know where they all stand. One would question why a certain model is cheaper than another, or why one system with seemingly better specs is cheaper than one that doesn't appear to be as good.
Let me just say that any product we carry is top of the line. I personally feel the A/F and current Z series models are the lower end and that's mainly due to build quality and materials. The "budget" systems as I call them are still probably better than 95% of everything else on the planet, but for us, overall quality is what makes a great well rounded system and for us, that's what "top of the line" is. Something like the F3jm is a great notebook and yet it's meant for the "mainsteam" audience. It's higher end, certainly, but it's one of those systems built to bring over the usual dell and hp buyers, or those who just can't afford or appreciate the finer designs and builds of models like the W/V/S series models.
Going to something like the Z96, it's a better choice if you're staying on that same level, because it does have the higher res screen and if you want to stick with 15.4", we really don't have a high end ensemble in that slot at the moment, but hopefully, within the next two months we should be seeing the V1jp, which would probably be positioned around $2k and would be high end in spec, features, quality, and design.
If you have any other questions between say the F3j and Z96j, or anything else, you could drop me a line and I could help out.
