Hey guys, I'm actually searching Google right now so don't think I'm just being lazy. I'd just prefer YOUR advice!
What is the BEST temperature monitoring program for Vista Home Premium 64 bit and the Asus G50Vt-X5? I've tried looking at some of your screen shots I've found through the "search" function on here, but I just can't tell what you're using. Help please. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Better yet, is there a program already installed on the X5 that give you the current temps and I just haven't found it yet?

Not sure if they work in Vista 64, but some ideas that come to mind are:
    CPU: CPU-Z, RmClock, HWMonitor, Everest
GPU: GPU-Z, RivaTuner, HWMonitor, the driver itself, Everest

hwmonitor works the best for cpu, hdd, gpu and your chipset.

Thanks a lot. HWMonitor seems like it would be best, is it worth paying for though? Not that I'm a cheapskate or anything. ;)

Asus has their own temp monitoring software called "NB Probe". It's not pre-installed on your notebook, so you'll have to install it from your drivers utility disk. However, I would also recommend HWMonitor since it's more thorough/detailed. It's also free :)

NBProbe only gives very uninformative indications for the temperature like "Normal" and "Critical". Pretty useless if you ask me, what's "Normal" is open for interpretation. But maybe useful for less techie users.

The X5 stock only speed fan reads the cpu temp correctly. All other apps CoreTemp, Everest, HWMonitor need to be adjusted the P7450's TJMAX is 90C

HWMonitor has to be adjusted via its ini file created after running it once. CoreTemp you can adjust its offset and Everest you can change its options.

Once adjusted ur good they all read everything else correct and everest ultimate is the only one that reads the fan speed.

Not the last times I have used it it has all the info there, maybe thats for a different notebook or an older version. Infact give me a minute I may as well install it on the W90 and see what I get.

Edit: Your right for the W90 it only has "normal" for my cpu temp.

I know for sure on my desktop using the P5Q Deluxe it gives me temps though and lets me set temp levels for alarms and things.
