I don't know which one to choose. I like the G51VX, but the G71GX is good too. I want to play Crysis, Bioshock, Fallout 3, BiA:H'sH, etc. I don't know which one is better, but I keep coming back to the G51VX. But not much for it's CPU. Unless the CPU of the G51VX can keep up with my standards, like running GIMP, Safari, IE, 3-4 folders, all at the same time.

BTW: My name is not Ronald McDonald.

g71gx has more ram, a slower but bigger hdd, better resolution, more cpu, and a 17" display, a 8-cell battery.

I like the G71, but, I don't know why, but I keep coming back to the G51Vx.

The G71 is a lot better than the G51Vx IMO. The ram and CPU upgrade alone probably are worth more than the $150 difference. Strangely, I was set of buying the G51VX until I saw the G71 and now I can't take my eyes off the G71 lol

Ronald check em out at Best Buy if you haven't already. They're both pretty sweet :) I think the keyboard is a bit better on the G51 but that's just my opinion.

There will be no difference between 4 and 6 gigs of RAM.
It depends what you want. A bigger screen or a slightly more portable laptop.
As said in many other threads, the CPU in the G51 is a little slow, but not too slow to be unable to run app's in Windows or play even the nwest games The good thing is you can upgrade it anytime for even better perfromance.

Better at what? What do you want: (performance?, looks?..)

Running lots of the progrtamms/ apps at the same time is the job of the RAM not the CPU. CPU is repsonsible for the speed at which the programs open, work etc. etc. In both cases you have more than enough RAM, and as I said, there will be no difference in performance between the 6/4 GB's. So the programms you listed will run v. well on both machines.
