    Over the sumer i have gone through an hp dv8000t and a macbook pro. Ive been on this website a lot researching quite a bit on my notebook purchases. Asus however seems to have everything i need in terms of build quality and performance. However all the strange model names with different screen sizes is very confusing for a newbie. Heres what im looking for.

    15-17 inch notebook/sturdy design/high performance/bright screen

    Any suggestions?

    v6j (15.1 sxga+, geforce 7400), f3j (15.4" wxga 7600), z96j (15.4 wsxga x1600
    Price by ascending order. If you dont mind a 15.1" and you dont have a budget and you dont need the best mobile vga card the v6j is absolutely amazing in termsof design and aesthetics
