    hello every one,

    i am an avid gamer ......i have long wanted to buy a gaming laptop....after quite some research..i found Asus to be best in both the cost and what they offer.....i have shortlisted these laptops and would like you all to help me make a decision...

    i have no restriction on the choice b/e P4 and P4m processor....i just want a great gaming laptop.

    Z70va is going to be the best balance of all the machines..... the z83 is nice, but it's awfully heavy and has a lower resolution than the z70va, yet a bigger screen. The z81 is HUGE, but a powerhouse. The screen is dim compared to the other models though.

    thanks for the quick reply....but you would know that z81sp has Nvidia 6800 256Mb thats that one thing that really pulls me to it......and will there be any significant difference in the GPU performance if it were a 256 Mb and 128Mb....

    Well ya, 256MB will allow you more buffering and better FPS.
    That's why ASUS put it there. :D

    Right, but it's a monstrosity. It's one hell of a gaming machine, but it's far from balanced....... I'd get a desktop dedicated to gaming if you really need that sort of power........ you could do it cheap and still put money into nice laptop.
