    Hello-

I have a UX-31e that I would like to recover to it's original factory state. I bought the computer refurbished. When I received the computer, there was a note from Asus saying that because it was refurbished, the entire hard drive was erased, including the recovery partition. There were then instructions on how to make a recovery disc, which I did. I have an external DVD drive that I can use with the computer.

When I used the Asus recovery disc maker software, it made two discs, which is confusing to me. I would have though it was only one, but didn't think about it at the time time and just filed the discs away until I needed them- which I need now.

Disc 1 has the following files on it:
    A folder called Boot
    A folder called EFI
    A folder called Sources
An image file called ASUSRDVD that is 3.8GB
    A file called BOOTMGR
    A text document called BURNENGINE
    An application called IMAGEX

Disc 2 has the following 2 files on it:
A "split file" called ASUSRDVD that is 3.284GB
    a text document called BURNENGINE

So what do I do with these two discs? I'd try booting off of disc 1 and see where that takes me, but I don't want to mess things up as Asus never gave me a Windows 7 disc.

    Thanks!
