Well, yes G50vt do come with crappy mic...internal...my brother...has a G50VT-X5 best buy model and I can't hear a thing when we play L4D/L4D2 on line....well..you can try disabling the internal mic...right click on the sound/volume..at the bottom tab..screen...and go to playback devices...then click on recording tab then right click on Microphone...and select disable..mic... this should take away your internal mic..and allow you to have full control of your external mic...which is I assume better without...interfference..outside...but you can also adjust your...mic...in the sound voulme..under your control panel to....block..outside noise...hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!
