    Hi there,

I need a little assistance from someone on how to start my web cam on my new EEE laptop. I read on your note book review that this must be done because the original default setting does not have this running.
I am not very familiar with the Linux OS or do feel comfortable in meddling with setting in the BIOS, so if anyone would be kind enough to send me the step by step instructions, i would much appreciate it.

    Cheers

Press F2 like a mad man when you boot the machine and it will go into the BIOS. Due to something called boot booster it nearly skips the post screen and you may not get it first try.

Once you are in the bios, just use the arrow keys to move over to the section that will be called onboard devices or something similar.

If the webcam is off you will see it say

    Webcam: Disabled

Just arrow down to it and hit Enter to change it. (Possibly Enter than an arrow key)

After its Enabled press F10 to save & exit.
